The weekly DSA staff roundtable: Perspective and picks for Oregon-Cal

I had a travel day from hell Thursday and my laptop died yesterday in Arizona. I had to buy one of those cheapo $140 ASUS laptops just to get through the weekend. Sorry for the delay here, but this was another fun discussion with the fellas. Check it out!

Utah Squeeked Past WSU

Didn't even know they played Thursday til I checked P12 schedules. Are we assume it was in Pullman. I wish this gave is more confidence vs Utah, but....And it looks like Rising was out. Hope he's ok, after we play them.

Projecting the rest of the season for top 10 Teams

Oregon is getting tons of love after UCLA. And don't we want to see our guys bring down both LA teams this year! Lot's of FB to play and these things don't mean squat by the end of the season. Still, fun to play the game and it falls in line with Duckville's analysis the other day. Might be a tough path, but it's possible. IF the Ducks win out and Mich has one loss to tOSU the Rose Bowl will be the best non playoff bowl.

Fixed it.

Visit/offer update: 2024 WR Chase Farrell offered on visit to Oregon

2024 receiver Chase Farrell was one of the visitors over the weekend, and he made the trip up from LA. It was a big weekend for the speedy slot receiver and return man. Oregon is his dream school and he was offered by Junior Adams after the game. Washington was the first school to get involved and offer back when Adams was with the Huskies, so their relationship goes back to last year. He said he wrote a book report in fourth grade about wanting to play at Oregon, so it really could only be a matter of time before he's committed.

I spoke with him about the visit and the offer and you can read the update at the link up top.

"The experience was absolutely surreal. Going up there and watching the game against UCLA, it was one heck of an experience. The atmosphere up there at Autzen is absolutely amazing. The fan base is huge and that stadium gets loud, man. Being a recruit there and being able to enjoy that game as a fan was an experience on its own. It was really fun."

ATM Suspends 5 star Stoners

They should come to Oregon where at least it's legal. Recall when we had one of the best players suspended for a huge game, bowl game, I think because he tested pos for weed. that was ridiculous. do they even test for weed anymore? Anyway, ATM's best class of all time is a headache.

Another guy in need of a bump: best player in state on best team in state

I guess Teitum Tuioti is absolutely tearing it up at Sheldon. His mid season film and stats are off the charts, but I cant find the HUDL film on YT. He and Sadiq are worth a serious raise, with Huffman saying he will likely end up in the top 247 of his class. Sheldon has another coache's son in Klemm, I think.

Oregon picked third in Pac-12 preseason basketball poll

The Ducks got 3 first-place votes, finishing behind only UCLA and Arizona.

I will be at Pac-12 Media Day in San Francisco today, so I'll have plenty coming ...

Bear Trap?

I am not taking a victory in Berkeley this Saturday for granted. Cal has an offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and head coach that all played at Oregon, Beating their Alma Mater will make their season. This is especially true with the head coach.

Oregon better go to Berkeley with a hungry attitude. After a giant win, sometimes a let down is natural. Cal will be waiting for Oregon. Beware of the possibility of a trap game. I’m not predicting a loss, but I’m not taking a win for granted either,
