I HATE THIS DEFENSE

I'm so tired of watching receivers run amuck all over the field while we play a soft zone.

I'm also tired of watching our Linebackers float around in space as if they don't know what to do or where to go.

We have, arguably, the best linebackers in the league, they used to be heat-seeking missiles, and now I believe that the scheme has basically neutered them.

Maybe we just don't have the studs...

Prep for No. 10 Utah

Dan Lanning mentioned on Monday in his press conference that his team "came away dinged" from the Washington game, but added that he was pleasantly surprised to hear some news from the medical staff on where his team stood health-wise. On Tuesday's practice, the media was allowed to watch the usual 15 minutes of practice but were told to keep what we saw (and who we saw practicing) confidential. So I wish I could give a practice report but I'm unfortunately prevented from doing so.

Visitor list: Oregon vs. Washington

This list will most likely change before Saturday, but here is a list of expected notable game day visitors as it stands right now. As you all know, it is a huge recruiting weekend for the program once again with a good amount of 2024 prospects set to head out to Autzen for the game. This is the first big weekend for playoffs in California so it makes it a little more difficult to get everyone out from that state but it is definitely an impressive group so far. If there's anyone notable that I've missed feel free to drop them below.

Sickening next day thought!

If we don’t win out…..and I have serious doubts in both games…..especially if Bo is not healthy and the Huskies win out (Colorado and WSU).
AND SC beats UCLA which I expect than Washington would play SC in the PAC-12 Championship game as they would have the tie breaker against UTAH I believe. (Could be wrong). They didn’t play this year!
Heading for some Tums!!!!!
Our defense and fresh thought’s of some of the play calling decisions yesterday leave me less than confident these last two games! Of all the crazy high risk calls the stupid trick play on 3rd and a 1/2 yard from the 3 and a half yard line still blows my mind……..
Life goes on but I thought I would share my morning blues with you all…..you’re welcome…:).

Gut Reaction

1. Bo is a stud and competitor. Thank you Bo for putting EVERYTHING on the line. You are appreciated
2. Alex Forsythe deserves a tone of credit. See line 1. Love that guy
3. Thompson will be and should be transferring. No threat to pass. Would've preferred Butterfield
4. Bucky is special.
5. Tosh is not cutting it. This defense reminds me of the Helfrich era.
5B. Feel for our defense b/c they are much better than the schemes they have to play.
6. PAC-12 Officials are "officially the worst in all of college football.
7-10. I hate everything about Washington. From the colors to every single player that has ever donned a Husky uniform. I loathe them.

This Week's "Other Game" Thread

TCU v TX is the obvious biggie, but there are some other 1 loss teams still in the hunt like Tenn which is up on Mizzou in the 1st half.14/7. UNC only has one loss and are playing a good Wake team at 4:30. I doubt a 1 loss UNC or Clemson would get in over UO or USC, but they would certainly plead their case. ESPN has TX at 73% probability of taking down TCU. Most of the best matchups seem to be at around 4, prime time east coast and overlapping the Fuskies..

Stone updates his overall recruitment with a possible Dec. commitment coming. Stone is trying to get his Oregon visit in before he commits.

The DSA Roundtable: Oregon-UW rivalry edition!

I really enjoy putting these together with the guys each week. This was a fun one -- great perspective from Scott and Brandon about their personal memories of this rivalry.
