Florida SouthWestern State College wing Dezdrick Lindsay is the first new signee for the Ducks on the first day of the early signing period today. The 6-foot-6 wing from Louisville will have two seasons of eligibility at Oregon after he completes his upcoming junior college season. He averaged 10.7 points and 3.6 rebounds last season and committed/signed with the Ducks over offers from Rhode Island and Arkansas State.

He gained traction during the fall as a recruit and Oregon offered him back in October before he eventually made a visit and quietly committed to Dana Altman's program. The Ducks have been one of the most successful programs utilizing junior college talent in the country, and Lindsay is just the latest Florida SouthWestern player to make the move to Eugene. Current Ducks Kario Oquendo and Jadrian Tracey both played at the junior college as well.

Oregon has not yet announced the signing of previous commit Ibrahima Traore as of yet.

Flock Talk Recruiting notes

RECRUITING NOTES

  • This is not going to be a big recruiting weekend. Once again you can expect all of the local players to find a way to the game – especially commits that live close enough to catch the game in person.

  • It looks like a couple of other commits will also be in town this weekend. Why not the bigger game next week? Often this just relates to their bye weeks back home and that is the case here. Xadavien Sims and Shaq McCroy are expected to be in town this weekend to catch the Cal game. These two are cornerstone types and you know that everyone is trying to come after them, but they are very solid. Still important to get them in town and have them remember what they love about Oregon.

  • Most of the other names will be from the 2025 class and beyond. Alabaster (AL) four-star safety Anquon Fegans is expected to be in town. The No. 34 overall player in the class of 2025 was once committeed to USC, but co-DC Chris Hampton has done a great job getting a relationship built and this is one of those types of players that you want in the defensive backfield.

He will be a tough pull from the SEC, but the move to the B1G could prove critical if Oregon finds a way to land him.

  • Another elite prospect – five star 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore – is set to visit Eugene this weekend. The Duncanville (TX) prospect is currently committed to LSU, but there is a long way to signing day for 2025 and the Ducks are going to be in the thick of things should Moore reopen his recruitment. This will not be the only school he visits. Rated as the No. 6 overall player in the nation, Moore is on top of most schools wish list so this will be one of those players that is very difficult to land.

This visit, though, gives him a chance to see Oregon in person and to meet with one of the better receiver developers in the nation and watch him in action – as well as one of his star pupils Troy Franklin.

  • Interior offensive lineman Connor Carty is also set to be in town. The Prosper (TX) four-star is a big interior body that has great versatility. At 6-5, 290, he already has good size and will be spending time around some of the best interior offensive linemen in the nation this week.

He has an offer from Stanford, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech. He is one of those players that is going to get a lot more offers in the next six months. Definitely someone on whom to keep an eye moving forward.

All for now!

Recap: Oregon uses a career-high 21 rebounds from N'Faly Dante to take down Georgia

The Ducks had four players in double figures and N'Faly Dante scored 16 and grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds to lead the team to an 11-point victory over Georgia in Las Vegas.

Cal game score guessing results

Again, somebody finished above water to win this week but there were a lot of good results, especially in predicting how many points Oregon would score, a difficult thing to do when that many points go up on the board in rainy weather. Shark and Grave hit it right on the nose and others were fairly close. I saw a lot of 17's on the list for Cal's score. 19 is an unusual one to see so those 7 and a 21 were solid guesses. By the way, I think the Ducks have delivered for the betting crowd in all but one game this year. Congrats to Graveduck on his best guess of the week.

DSA Inside Read: Looking ahead to USC game

The offense was so good that reserve Ty Thompson looked like he had crossed a proverbial bridge completing 6 of 8 passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. One of his incompletions was even a really solid throw. He showed composure, poise, decisiveness, and command of the offense in his fourth quarter appearance.
