When I first started tailgating 13 seasons ago, the early mornings and long drives home were okay. I mean, for the Stanford game in 2010, I was in Eugene by 5AM for Gameday and did not get home until well after 1AM. But over time my wife found it more and more difficult to make trips. Last year, I mostly drove down and back alone and there were some log a** days and nights where I was exhausted - which then shoots Sunday all to he** as well.

This year we got a spot with the Boy Scout lot next to Lane County Mental Health - and let me tell you, getting down on Friday night with a full night's sleep for Saturday AND then not having to drive back hom Saturday night is literally life changing. I felt so much more energy today. We had our normal folks turnout and I am really excited to be able to do this.

For what it is worth, I wrote the Fifth Quarter from the comforts of the RV rather than trying to get up after only 3 hours of sleep and do it for you...
