Way past pitchers and catchers time in college baseball and Oregon will be hosting Oklahoma, sort of; they will be the home team in "neutral" San Antonio on Friday, 1:00 west coast time for their season opener. Why are all of Oregon neutral sports games in their opponents' neighborhoods? Yeah, slightly more of a chance for baseball weather in Texas than in Eugene and the Sooers are not particularly popular San Antonio. Maybe the Air Force recruits on boot camp passes will be there to make it more neutral, too.
Interstingly, ESPN2 has scheduled preseason conference #1 pick Oregon State hosting preseson #4 pick Oregon on April 27, the day the Ducks have their spring football game. What were they thinking? Games may be scheduled so fans in Eugene could set some speed records to get to to Corvallis for part of the game after leaving Autzen (unless it is a night time spring game, in which case it will just the opposite). Not sure it will be any easier or even possible unless you find a Corvallis station for one ear and plug a Duck station into the other ear for football.to catch both on the tube or radio.
