We had a very unfortunate accident today. Sean Dollars was out on a route in a 7on7 game and was being defended deep by Jeremiah Criddell. They both went up for the deep ball and smacked heads together.
Criddell went down on his face unconscious and Dollars was a little dazed. Criddell came to about 10 seconds later. He was a little woozy but otherwise seemed OK. But nobody was taking any chances so they wheeled him off on a stretcher and took him to the hospital.
I asked Jay on his way out if he was OK and he said "yes I am OK".
But, both are done for today and are not allowed to return to sports until they are cleared by a doctor.
It sure seems like both guys will be just fine. They were both wearing the soft helmets we use for 7 on 7 so that helped. It was a pretty scary moment.
