Celtics traded Smart, and so far have not picked up another true PG. IIrc, they picked up a couple of bigs for Smart. Hmm. Could they, would they...start him next year? I wouldn't have thought so. Some interesting points re stats for catch and shoot vs pick and roll, offense and D.
Bottom line, he's much better than most NBA talent evaluators thought. I suppose they could trade him as part of a PG upgrade, but I bet not.
