As you know I am working to find ways to get you more content. Partnering with @Dale Newton is a step - it gets us a lot of additional stuff to talk about and I am grateful for his contributions. But we also need to have this growth mindset where we want more and more - as much as possible from a content perspective and as much as I can afford to spend to get that content.
Earlier this week I received an email from a writer that used to write for A to Z sports who was asking about opportunities. After checking out his work, I called him while I was driving back from Central Oregon yesterday and we had a great chat.
Jon Helmkamp is his name and we have already added him into everywhere he needs to be in order to start writing for us. His direction is clear: we need as much premium recruiting content as possible - especially interviews. He will be doing at least two articles per week and we are working on some other ideas. We will start up our Podcast as a weekly recruiting update and will likely do a second pod during the season and probably some special ones along the way.
Lee will still be sending me names of some of the guys he can get interviews with, but it will be more of an article by article basis. I am excited to welcome Jon to the team and to see his contributions and see if we can really get this thing growing.
