Interesting timing for this offer with Dante Moore wrapping up his weekend official visit, but the Ducks have offered 2023 Rivals250 quarterback Avery Johnson this evening. The 6-foot-2 recruit visited Eugene earlier in the year and has been on the radar for Oregon for a while, so the offer isn't completely out of left field. He has close to two dozen offers on the table from schools across the country. The thought has been that he will ultimately stay closer to home in Maize, Kansas but Oregon is one of the schools out west that seems to have his attention. Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Arkansas and Tennessee are some of his other offers. Arizona, Arizona State, Washington and Washington State are the other Pac-12 schools that have offered him up to this point.

He feels like the type of quarterback who could fit in well with what the Ducks want to do offensively under Kenny Dillingham. Florida State was one of the first schools to jump in the mix with Johnson last summer. So, there is a bit of a connection there.
