Collins Acheampong is one of the most unique recruits in the 2023 class out west, and he has been plenty intrigued by Oregon so far. He is now officially down to six schools and the Ducks remain in the hunt as one of the programs remaining on the list. The native of Ghana, who only moved to the US a few years ago, is set to make his college decision July 1.

He has blown up as a recruit this offseason despite not playing football over the last two years. He has great length and is a blank slate for many programs. One thing about Oregon that has intrigued him is that the Ducks view him as a potential fit at tight end. He has mostly focused on playing defense so far, but he is not opposed to making the full-time move to the offensive side of the ball.

You can read my full previous update on him at the link above, but he definitely has a strong impression of the Ducks.

"They have a great track record of pushing and pumping athletes into the NFL. So, NFL is where I wanna go, and I’ll still get a great education there, too. So, they check all the boxes there.”
