Per AL.com, Bobby Williams, who has been with the Crimson Tide since 2008, is heading west to be an assistant coach at Oregon. He spent two years in an off-the-field position while his new job is reportedly back on the field.

The two-year contract is worth $300,000 a year, OregonLive.com reported. A spring 2015 pay raise bumped Williams' salary to $440,840 a year at Alabama.

At Oregon, Williams will be reunited with former Alabama assistant Mario Cristobal. Promoted after the season, Cristobal just finished his first season as co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach.

Williams was a Saban assistant dating back to their time at Michigan State. He took over the head coaching job in 2000 when Saban left for LSU, coached three years in that position before being fired in 2002.

Williams then coached under Saban at LSU in 2004 and with the Dolphins 2005-06 before joining him at Alabama in 2008. He coached tight ends and special teams through the 2015 season when he moved to a special assistant role under Saban.

As of Thursday night, Williams was no longer listed the staff page of the official Alabama website.
