My story today reviews the big off season moves Mario Cristobal and his staff made to win now.

With just 9 scholarship seniors on the roster (after the dismissal of Fotu Leiato) the Ducks were very aggressive in adding leadership and experience for the 2018 roster, 4 grad transfers, 1 transfer, 2 JUCO transfers, and petitioning for an additional year for Malik Young.

Normally a new coach on a rebuilding team needs 3 to 4 years to turn it around, but Oregon is trying to fast track that with relentless recruiting and a bold moves on college football's free agent market.

They're trying to compensate for some down years in recruiting, the result of an entrenched staff slow to adapt to new methods and head coaching turnover.

Will it work? We'll know by the middle of October.
