It was another homerun fest thanks to the example set by Carter Garate. All season, before this series, he had 1 home run. He held the bat a little bit wrong showing bunt in game 1 of the series and mashed his index finger some. That game he hit a grand slam for his second round tripper, the same as he had done with his first of the season, way back when. Today he launched two long balls. Before the season starts next year somebody needs to take off after him with a hammer. Walsh hit his 19th as well and might be in pursuit of Neville who had a terrible series, too terrible to discuss.
I did learn three things today.
1. Jason Reitz is 6'11"
2. Neville leads the nation with 26 homers
3. Oregon is a dangerous hitting team through the whole line-up
That was about 3/4th of the material the announcers used over and over and over and ...
