I was listening to XM college radio on the way home from work yesterday, and they were talking about some remarks Black Bennet said in regards to his time in Alabama and what Saban had promised him.
I didn't catch the beginning so I missed what it was that he said. Did anyone catch it?
The gist I got was that Bennet said Saban promised him a whole bunch of stuff, and then didn't follow through on any of it. One of the main reasons he left 'Bama. Could also be sour grapes from a kid who got beat out, but I just don't know.
Only reason I bring this up is we have issues recruiting quarterbacks, and guys who seem like they should be a great fit for Oregon (Bennet was at the time), go elsewhere based on who know what really. We all lament the fact that we just have not been able to consistently recruit at that position, enough so we have some quality depth.
