Other than Rodrick Pleasant, the other big notable visitor this weekend for the Ducks is former Northwestern commit Ashton Porter. The Ducks are making a hard charge for the Texas defensive end (things seem to be cooling a bit with Matayo Uiagalelei) and all indications are that Oregon has a really good chance of ultimately landing his commitment. Michigan State gained a lot of the buzz when he backed off his commitment to the Wildcats earlier in the fall, but Oregon offered him a few weeks ago and has quickly made up a lot of ground in his recruitment.
He's not going to announce a decision until Jan. 3, but this is an important weekend in his recruitment.
