As Helfrich more or less indicated in his post-LOI comments, Taj Griffin is still in recovery mode from the knee injury he suffered at the beginning of his senior season last year. I got some updates from a good source about him.
Apparently the surgery he had last fall was a "a
clean, simple ACL that repaired really easily and well". It was performed by a highly-regarded surgeon in Atlanta, Dr. John Xerogeanes.
The source predicted Taj will be "ready to roll by mid-summer".
So, this could be good news for Taj and Oregon should they need more offensive firepower in 2015.
