It is mostly because of recruiting...we just can't match the rosters, top to bottom, of Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, ND, Auburn, Florida, etc...
The recruiting rankings bear that out.
But the fact that Oregon makes it this far with such a glaring talent deficit is the sign of a well run program. Its not helpful at this moment, but to get here the coaches, etc.. did a fabulous job and I have to congratulate and thank them on a great season.
Yes we are getting better...but clearly they are not there yet.
