Oregon Add 12 to 2015 Class

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon track and field team put the finishing touches on the 2015 recruiting class with the addition of 12 student-athletes, Thursday.

The incoming class supplements the previous five standout prep athletes who signed letters of intent earlier in 2015. A mix of high school and college transfers, the 12 additions consists of six northwest natives including four Oregonians. It is headlined by a group of transfers that includes three athletes with NCAA Championships experience: former Oklahoma All-American Hannah Cunliffe, Ole Miss All-American Brooke Feldmeier and Georgetown All-American Ryan Gil. The group of transfers also includes Harvard’s Ivy League Champion Danielle Barbian. Jessica Hull, Australia’s 1,500 meters and cross country junior champion, and Monique Stander, South Africa’s 800 meters junior champion with a 2:02.57 personal best, provide an international presence for the incoming class.

“Our coaching staff believes that we have found a group of newcomers who will make an immediate impact for our team at the NCAA level,” said Head Coach Robert Johnson. “We are excited about each of these individuals and can’t wait for them to get started with our team over the next couple weeks.”

Track and Field News Magazine has ranked Oregon’s women’s track and field recruiting class at the top of the country each of the last two years, and three of the last five.
