At this point there are a lot more questions than answers. The running game looked below average. Some of that is due to really good inside pressure by the Texas Tech defensive tackles, but some of that is also poor run blocking by the offensive line – especially on the interior where too often players were getting hit in the backfield.
Defensively, we saw that Oregon had worked hard and showed much better pass rush, but it came at the expense of some big runs by the quarterback. Given who the Ducks will have to face this season, that is a critical area which needs a lot of improvement.
