Coach Taggart confirmed to be in Eugene. Clarity should not be too far away.

5:15 am Update

For those of you hoping that Taggart was going to stay at Oregon, today is the day your grieving process can likely begin.

To be clear: Nothing is final.

Taggart has not talked to his players, has not informed the University formally nor has he or anybody authoritative uttered a peep about the situation. But from the folks we have been talking to, it's time to initiate the coaching search sequence.

Coach is back in Eugene today after canceling his in-home visits with recruits while in Texas. Why would he do that with only two weeks left before early LOI? Wouldn't those be crucial appointments to keep? Isn't there a tight timeline given Oregon's December 16th bowl game...11 days away?

Will the news that he will be leaving Oregon after less than a year on the job happen today? That is quite likely. Everything is lining up and the silence is deafening.

You know we hate to be rumor-mongers but all signs are pointing one way and none are pointing towards anything else.

The last confirmed Taggart sighting was Monday at QB commit Tyler Shough's house. Coach Arroyo was there as he will likely be Shough's position coach in 2018. Coach Taggart was all business and despite the 'O' flashing, reportedly was on his way to meet with FSU following this in-home. *Bonus points to the Shough's dog for the solid photobomb
