Let's take a trip to....The Twilight Zone"
You think finding a DC at Oregon is tough? Imagine for a minute what might happen to Oregon's house of cards if Chip reaches out to Mark Helfrich to become his offensive coordinator and Mike Nolan for Defensive Coordinator. Those calling for Helfrich to be replaced, be careful what you wish for.
Upon his hiring, Chip made a statement that one would expect but I think Oregon fans should be cautiously concerned about. Here's his statement:
" I would like to thank Jed Trent, and the York family, for this tremendous opportunity to be the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. As one of the most historic franchises in the National Football League, I realize the high standards and expectations this position demands and I embrace the challenges ahead. My immediate challenge is to build the best coaching staff possible, one that will maximize the abilities of each of our players and put us in the best position to win football games."
I'm sure we have nothing to be concerned about, or do we?
