What's the feeling in Eugene?

I read that the townies in Chapel Hill are getting nervous about kids coming back, which is still the plan. Anyone know the atmosphere in Eugene and Corvallis for that matter? This is gonna put a serious hurt on the U's if they can't operate. Anyways I thought maybe someone who lives in E/SF could chime in?
