They added two ringers, one all state last year and another all PIL 2d team. Iirc they have the Les Schwab coming up which always features the likes of Ranier Beach and national powerhouses. Anyway, a FB/BB state title doube your money could be in the works for WL. From the O.

WEST LINN LIONS

Coach
: Robert Key, 1st season

2021-22 record: 23-3

All-league players departed: Zeke Viuhkola, W (first team); Peyton Durbin, P (honorable mention)

Players to watch: Mark Hamper, W, SR; Max Julhala, G, JR; Adrian Mosley, F, SR; Jackson Shelstad, G, SR;

Outlook: The 2022-23 Lions could be better than last season’s team, the team that reached the semifinals of the state tournament. Start with Shelstad, the top player in the state who has committed to Oregon. Shelstad averaged 27 points, 5.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 steals per game while earning the state Player of the Year award last year. The Lions added Mosley, the PIL player of the year and first-team all-state selection who transferred from the Grant Generals to reunite with Key, who was the Generals coach last season. Hamper was an all-league second team selection. The Lions will be a top contender to win the title.
