So, I did not post the story here because I did not feel it was my place. Several months ago I learned that both of these players were facing accusations. I spoke with a friend in a traditional media outlet and passed along the information. Along the way, I discovered that there was an open investigation from UOPD into alleged sexual assaults. Because they were unable to get an interview with the victim(s) they decided not to run the story.
One piece of advice I gave which was followed was to ask Helfrich at the end of the season what the status of Wallace was given the graduation of three tight ends and the Helfrich response was "I don't know" which differs from the official account from Craig Pintens in the Grief story. (FYI, I also gave tip on the story to Grief who had not yet heard the information when I passed it along to him).
I casually referenced "multiple sexual assault investigations" in an earlier edition of Flock Talk - now you know the other investigations to which I was referring.
