The Ducks didn't disapoint.
Too many great performances for me to mention right now. One that I will mention is that Kyree King, Oregon's grad transfer from Western Kentucky, ran a PR in the 60 with a time of 6.65. Considering that this is the first meet of the season, that is very impressive. That time would have finished 7th in the NCAA Indoor finals last year. My only worry would be that he might peak too soon, but it is an impressive start.
The track and the field were loaded with outstanding Oregon performances. I believe that the team approached this meet as a workout meet. Many athletes ran outside of their normal events, and still impressed! The women are awesome. Hannah Cunliffe, Sasha Wallace, and Raven Rodgers all were unbeatable. Alaysha Johnson, who is a 60,100, and 400 hurdler, entered the 200m and won over a large field.
The Bowerman Trophy just might end up being an Oregon intramural competition!
