For those of you who are not from California, it may come as a surprise that UC Davis has 12,000 more students than the UO. It also has about $300,000,000 more money in its private endowment than UO.
UC Davis ranks way higher than UO in academic rankings of national research universities.
However, UC Davis doesn't give athletic scholarships. So athletically the UO is the big school and UC Davis is the little school. However, other than in athletics, UC Davis is a heavy weight university.
