Tomorrow is the anniversary of the start of the American war of Revolution. Where Captain Parker told his troops, Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.


The first shots were exchanged at Lexington and Concord. Memorialized as "The Shot Heard Round world". And, it still reverberates.

There are too many summaries of the prelude to the fight and the fight itself for me to attempt another.

But, when it was all over our America had been born. And, a lot of blood has been shed to nurture it for our benefit.
