My article today on the Steele transfer and what it means for the Ducks.

Two more things about the secondary:

It will help them develop working against this improved group of Oregon wide receivers, particularly the two tall guys, Juwan Johnson and Bryan Addison. That kind of matchup has been a particular problem for them over the last few seasons.

Nothing improves a secondary's performance like a disruptive pass rush. The Avalos defense combined with edge rushers like Lamar Winston, Kayvon Thibodeaux and DJ Johnson is going to make them look good and create opportunities. Offense, particularly passing offense, is rhythm and timing. An intimidating pass rush upsets timing, much like a good pitcher in baseball.
