Probably the greatest female and the greatest male athletes in UO history, announced today their decision to no longer compete in track and field.
I feel a strange emptiness inside. It has been beyond thrilling to have been able to watch both of these iconic athletes compete. The University of Oregon, and the international sport of track and field are both better for the fact that these two participated in the sport of track and field. Their sport's legacy now belongs to the ages.
Thank you Ashton and Brianne.
