This post is a digression, mainly because I need a digression. These two guys Max and Spencer have been YouTube Duck football sports talk show media stars. They have even hooked up and done shows together,
They are similar in age and their love of the Oregon Ducks, but represent two different Oregon fan bases.
Spencer lives in Oregon and grew up in Oregon. However, Spencer did not attend the University of Oregon. He went to Santa Clara University, a Catholic University near the San Jose/ Santa Clara city limits.
Max Torres lives in San Jose where he grew up. Torres went to Bellermine Prep which is a Catholic high school that has always been thought of as a feeder school for Santa Clara University.
I find this ironic, but it represents two significant factions of Oregon’s fan base.
