They lose to Washington 9-0, collecting only one hit against Plain who collected her 100th win!
Again, our pitching just isn't Pac-12 ready giving up three more dingers along the way. Hansen who was the #2 rated pitcher and top 10 overall in last year's class just isn't ready for Pac-12 caliber play. As I mentioned last week the good Duck teams had incredible depth at pitcher and All-American arm talent. Yanez is being missed a great deal to say the least. It is hard to believe but we are hanging out 2nd from the last in conference play. Without outstanding pitching that is where you end up in this conference!
The recruiting has looked good so not sure what's going on ~ I'm not ready to give up on Lombardi but things need to improve for sure. The rest of this series, the series against the Beavs and Stanford will produce very few wins unless a light bulb goes off NOW!
