During the game I noticed on WSU's triple reverse option pass that several lineman were waaaaay down field. They looked to be 10 yards or so. I noticed our lineman down field; not as far, roughly 5 yards on the option pass back to Bo. My question is, what is the rule for linemen being down field on a play that ultimately is a pass? Does the 3 yards not matter once the ball has been handed off or pitched at least once?
