Poll: what's wrong with the Oregon offense?

What's wrong with the Oregon offense?

  • Nothing. 9 wins last year, 2nd in PAC-12 in scoring. Looking up for 2019

  • Execution--dropped passes and missed blocks.

  • The Pistol Formation.

  • Unimaginative playcalling, too many inside runs.

  • Lack of trust in Herbert, especially in the 2nd half.

  • Need a true bellcow running back to make Cristobal's vision work.

  • The top teams are explosive. Grinding it out hasn't made the playoffs at Stanford or Wisconsin.

  • Marcus Arroyo is not a top tier offensive coordinator.

  • Despite being an NFL prospect, Herbert hasn't yet taken the next step as a QB.

  • Three head coaches in three years. Had to rebuild depth and talent pool.

Particularly at fishduck.com, the Oregon offense gets a steady stream of criticism.

Many lament the loss of creativity Duck fans enjoyed in the Chip Kelly years.

Do you think the problems the Ducks had offensively last season (especially on the road) will continue to haunt them this year, or do you expect them to show a big improvement in productivity?

One other option I considered adding was injuries. The offense really suffered after Sewell and Warmack got hurt. Losing the #1 tight end in the first game of the season didn't help either.
