Good evening all, a brief rest at the house before we head back out tomorrow, but a little fill in. Tomorrow my wife and I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.
She had never been to Disneyland and anyone that knows her knows that is a travesty! Me? I don't really care that much about Disneyland, but I knew it would make her happy, so we drove down last weekend and got to Anaheim Sunday night. We spent two days doing everything on her list (and then some) of things she wanted to do, a real blast.
We left yesterday morning, but stopped by a local high school so I could meet with some recruits and get some information from coaches (more on that over the next few months!). Afterward, we drove up the PCH - another thing which she had never done - but stopped at multiple brewpubs along the way, including The Santa Barbara Brewing Company and Pismo Beach Brewery. My ultimate goal of hitting one in Big Sur was derailed by a landslide that had the highway closed, but we spent the night in Monterey.
Today was supposed to be San Fran for some fresh seafood and another couple of brew pubs - but an idiot texting and driving ended that plan. (DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE PEOPLE!) She got us pretty good and we were not sure we could get the trunk closed again if we opened it, so rather than one more night on the road, we headed home.
Going to the coast tomorrow to celebrate our official anniversary... Have not had time to read all the threads over the last few days, but did read some.
Oh, and I did get this very, very cool picture from Disneyland!
That's right, I got the Original Duck to 'Throw up the "O"' with me Willie Taggart style!
