I have seen both in action numerous times and I really like this DB pair that committed to the Ducks today.

Here is my take on each:

Hill is a physical, aggressive DB that is a safety. He is very athletic with a great frame and a kid that needs time to develop in coverage. He plays hard, fast and with an edge. I like his attitude and how he will come up and make the big hit/tackle. He will still need time to develop fundamentally, but I like his upside. He is a raw talent with speed, size and aggression. I think he has the most upside of the two.

James is the better technician of the two. He is farther along as a cornerback than Hill is as a safety. Hill can make more mistakes in coverage, with angles and things of that nature, where James is a solid cover guy. He has good footwork, he tracks the ball well and he is a smart player. He is not as athletic as Hill and he may not be as fast, but he is smooth, he is consistent and I could see him seeing the field early. His biggest thing is adding weight and getting stronger.

Overall, two VERY good pick ups from the south. Props to Donte Williams for putting in the work.
