As I look back to as recently as the first decade of this century I can't help but being in the room right next to ecstatic when it comes to recruiting for Oregon ... in any sport. It was that recently we were happy to pull in a few three star players and get invited into the living rooms of others we didn't get. Meanwhile USC cast aside the 4 star guys they didn't want. Washington could find no reason to gloat over the one five star from their state we didn't get because we weren't getting them from anywhere. Now, we don't begin to cheer until we bring in a five star from somewhere outside California nowadays. OK, we're pretty doggone happy to get one from inside the sunshine state, too. USC continues to have to look up in the standings to find us. Where is Washington, holding hands with Waldo?
