Very disappointing performance. My hatred for the Huskies is back in full force after almost feeling sorry for them the past 13 years. Huskies are the only Pac 12 team that I would under no circumstances root for them to win, unless it somehow directly benefited then Ducks.
Towards the end of the game, Burmiester threw a pic where the receiver was only 25 or 30 yards down the field and wide I open. He threw the ball about 15 yards and it was intercepted. He had a 30 yard pass to make and threw it 15 yards. I'm sorry, but any decent high school QB could have made that throw. I understand he is a freshman, but how can they give a scholarship to a QB who can't make that throw. Never seen anything like it.
Having said that, I blame Taggart for not letting him throw more. You have to do it even with a bad QB. Note to coach Taggart. There is no one in this league you can beat when you will not throw the ball down the field at least 8 or 9 times a game. There is no team you can beat when you go 3 1/2 quarters without calling one play action pass on first down.
Play to win coach. Don't play to run the clock out and keep it close. I would rather throw 10 pics and lose by 80 than to play a style of game where the score is closer, but there is no chance whatsoever to win
