Oregon football recruiting continued its run of success on Monday when Broken Arrow (Okla.) cornerback Myles Slusher became the seventh commitment to the class of 2020.
- Listed in the database as a cornerback, you can see on film how he could easily fill the role of safety also. In fact, I wonder what the plan will be for him at Oregon.
- One of the big reasons for this is his run support. He is a physical tackler and plays at the line of scrimmage very well.
- His timing is very good. He seems to be able to get to the receiver right as the ball gets there.
- If it weren't for his size, he would be a linebacker. That is how he plays.
- I like his on field demeanor. Definitely has some swagger but it looks to be under control.
- Good tackling technique for the most part. A few times he tries to knock a guy over rather than wrap up but since he successfully knocks the guy down it's hard to argue too much. On the other hand, nobody includes clips of them not wrapping up and the guy bouncing off and running away.
- Overall I think this will be good guy who could play CB, S or nickel. Good versatility.
