Kyler Murray hasn't been an interview machine by any stretch. If you catch him in person he will do one but I don't think he does them otherwise.
So, I got hold of his coach this morning. Basically after a little back-and-forth he said that he just wasn't going to be able to discuss the recruitment of Kyler Murray.
Now, I know Murray is a guy who doesn't care for the public side of recruiting and his family may have simply told his coach they would prefer he didn't do interviews about it. That likely is the case.
But...
Wouldn't it be easier for all parties involved if they just told everybody "Kyler is solid to A&M, period."? Unless he wasn't. So instead of admitting he wasn't solid they decide simply not to do any interviews at all.
Then I couple that with a note I got yesterday from my counterpart at A&M that they hear he might be visiting Oregon this weekend. I specifically asked Murray's coach about that and he did not respond.
Will Kyler Murray visit Eugene this weekend? Not many people know and the ones that do aren't talking.
Is it possible that Murray could switch to Oregon? Sure. Anything is possible. Probable? Oh heavens no. DSA odds on that happening are at about 2.1% just because he did visit with his family last spring unofficially and so I would think Oregon would be one of the only teams he would consider. It is a perfect fit after all.
But if he does happen to visit officially this weekend, the DSA odds go up quite a bit.
