We should be adult enough to participate in a thread without wandering from the football aspects. . It should (and probably will ) be shut down if we can't. The subject is important to Oregon's future schedule. Let's keep it there. I hope I'm right and Scott is mistaken about your ability to conduct this conversation within limitations.
Rolivich's absence is compounded by the loss of four of his assistants. I can't see a picture of the remaining staff being able to effectively game plan and pay attention to all of the details needed to improve team play and deal with the other demands of a head coach. It will probably also really impede recruiting. I'm wondering how many commits will flip because of this. Correctly offered, it will be VERY hard to interview and hire strong replacements for the staff at this time in the season. Could a hire even be made before the next two games are played and, even if so, how long would it take for a staff to be cohesive?
Maybe they can steal some from ASU.
Mention of Oregon assistant coaches moving over seems laughable unless one of them is up for OC or DC. I haven't seen which assistants are gone so don't know if either of those spots is open in Cougville. Why would someone on the Ducks' staff want to leave a team on the cusp of being in a national championship game want to go to a program fighting to become relevant in a conference championship? After the season is over some will have a offers to move elsewhere, as will be routine, but now? to WSU?
