I spoke with Coach Woodie about Justin Hollins. He was banged up in the spring. When I spoke with him earlier in camp Hollins said he is very happy to move back to his "natural" position of OLB. Here is what Woodie had to say:

"He is working. He is consistent. Hollins is coming along. Obviously he did not have spring to participate but he was a student of the game. He has the size and ability. He is pushing for a starting spot. Right now we haven’t really determined who is going to be the starter that is going to line up against Southern Utah but he is definitely competing.

"We want to set the edge. We want to play the run first. A lot of times you have to be careful talking about elite guys like him being a pass rusher because sometimes he will want to pass rush on run downs and get himself out of the play and create gaps. Right now we are just teaching him to play the run because we know he has pass rush ability. If he gets that down he is going to be a force.

"Hollins coming along. He has only been practicing really for two weeks because in the spring he was a little banged up with injury. He is showing that he is going to make an impact."
