Sadly I’ve been too preoccupied to go to the Stanford Invite, even though I’ve been spending most of my days five houses from the official Stanford Campus line. I just want to make a special note that Jessica has taken off in the past 9 months. Her best event is the 1500, but she is also world class in the longer distances.
She has now entered a category that makes her a serious contender for the Bowerman Trophy.
She is currently Oregon Track’s biggest story ... and actually rivals Sabrina Ionesco as the most elite woman’s athlete on campus! Who would have predicted that a year ago? Three years ago the idea of Jessica becoming this good was not even remotely considered.
