A high profile poster/fan on a UO track board is at the meet in NYC. Here is an excerpt from one of his posts:
"Also had a chance to meet our latest Javelin recruit, Hannah Cummings, who attended with her dad. I watched her reactions as the team was having so much fun and the only question is "Who wouldn't want to join this group?". Towards the end of the day, hundreds of high schoolers filed in for what was presumably one of their district meets. As they announced the start list for the finals in the 60s and 60H, these kids were going crazy for the Ducks.....and no one else. Marvelous recruiting tool to bring the team to the East Coast."
