While I am in the camp of hiring Cristobal and holding onto Arroyo and Leavitt, as well as the rest of the staff, if Leavitt leaves we could get a strong look at our next DC, Andy Avalos of Boise State. A young, energetic coordinator who leads a very aggressive defense for the Broncos. 8 times this year giving up 14 points or less. Plus he has coached LB's and the D'line and is known for being a very good recruiter to a program like Boise State. He is definitely one to keep our eye on. I am not sure if Joe would want the DC job but in the event that JL leaves and Joe doesn't want it. Avalos would do well.

Then we go get Chris Marve from Vanderbilt to coach our LB's. He is widely considered a very good up and coming defensive mind and a great teacher at that position. Extremely diligent and aggressive. Again, a good young recruiter as well. Just my thoughts.
