SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Oregon will ring in the New Year with UCLA and host Arizona the first week of February. It was also revealed that all seven Pac-12 teams that played in the 2016 NCAA Tournament will visit Eugene this year as the Pac-12 Conference released the weekly matchups and site designations for the league's 2016-17 men's basketball season on Tuesday.
The announcement reflects the games being played and the home/away designations each week of the Pac-12 regular season. Specific dates and times for each game within a week will be announced later this summer after selections by the league's television partners are finalized. All Conference games will be televised by either ESPN, FOX, CBS or Pac-12 Networks.
The Ducks open up the conference slate by hosting UCLA and USC around the New Year’s holiday. After that, the Ducks will head north for their only games with Washington and Washington State.
It will be the Civil War at Matthew Knight Arena the week of Jan. 11-15 followed by California and Stanford the week of Jan. 18-22. Oregon closes out January with a trip to Colorado and Utah.
Arizona and Oregon will meet in Eugene for the only time this season the week of Feb. 1-5. Arizona State will also visit MKA that weekend. The Ducks are in Los Angeles Feb. 8-12 and then return home for the final time Feb. 15-19 to host Colorado and Utah.
Oregon closes out the regular season on the road at Cal and Stanford the week of Feb. 22-26, before finishing in Corvallis the first week of March.
The Pac-12 Tournament will debut at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas March 8-11.
The Ducks’ had the No. 2-rated strength of schedule in 2015-16 according to ESPN, and look to be among the best in the nation again in 2016-17. In addition to another strong Pac-12 season, the Ducks will also host Alabama, Boise State and Fresno State at MKA, as well as UNLV Dec. 17 at the Moda Center in Portland.
2016-17 season tickets are currently on sale starting at $150, and can be purchased at goducks.com/tickets. The game at the Moda Center is included in the 2016-17 ticket package. Season ticket renewals from 2015-16 have already exceeded 90 percent.
Away from Eugene, the Ducks will play in the 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational, as well as visit Baylor in November.
Pac-12 men's basketball enjoyed one of its most exciting and competitive seasons in 2015-16. A record seven teams earned bids to the 2016 NCAA Tournament, nine teams finished the year ranked in the RPI Top 100, all 12 teams posted Top 100 Strengths of Schedule, and league play featured seven matchups between AP Top 25 teams, the most for the conference since 2007-08.
2015-16 Pac-12 All-Conference performers Dillon Brooks, Isaac Hamilton (UCLA) and Ivan Rabb (California) headline the list of the league's top returners, and the Conference is slated to add 18 newcomers rated in Scout's Class of 2016 Top 100 recruit rankings, the second-most of any league in the country.
