A legendary defensive tackle for the Oregon Ducks is headed into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Haloti Ngata is among the 22 players in the CFB Hall of Fame Class of 2025, the National Football Foundation announced on Wednesday.

“Haloti Ngata’s selection to the College Football Hall of Fame is a well-deserved recognition of his tremendous impact on college football and the University of Oregon football program,” Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens said in a press release. “During his time here, Haloti was a dominant force on the field, a leader in the locker room, and a role model for all.

“An outstanding human being who has always represented Oregon in a first-class manner, he truly defines what it means to be an all-American, and as a five-time Pro Bowler, he is also one of the most accomplished NFL players in Oregon history. Haloti is a true Duck legend, and we are proud to celebrate him, his incredible legacy, and this honor.”

In 35 career games with the Ducks, Ngata amassed 151 total tackles, 24.5 for loss, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles and seven blocked kicks. He was named the Pac-10 defensive player of the year in 2005 and won the Morris Trophy, named a consensus first-team All-American that season.

Drafted No. 12 overall by the Baltimore Ravens in 2006, Ngata spent 13 seasons in the NFL, including a Super Bowl with the Ravens in 2013 and five Pro Bowl selections. Also playing for the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles, he was named a first-team All-Pro twice and second-team All-Pro three times. He is in the Ravens ring of honor.

Ngata — born in Inglewood, California and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah — was selected to the Pac-10′s All-Century Team and inducted into the Oregon Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.

The 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be inducted Dec. 9, 2025 at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
