Really, really proud of this team and feel really bad for Elgin Cook who played his heart out. Ducks ran into a NBA player with a super hot hand.
The one area were they where unbalanced as a team and had been over achieving all season finally caught up to them. There was no high percentage pure shooter on this roster or a guard who could get to the rim at will. OU shutdown the driving lanes for the most part and the Ducks couldn't stretch the court by hitting outside shots with any consistency.
If Joe Young were a senior on this years team it could have been a different ball game. Hopefully Ennis gets an extra year and/or Payton Prichard becomes that high percentage outside shooter.
I think Cook will really be missed next season. His athleticism, strength, driving ability, and ability to guard multiple positions is hard to replace.
Proud of this team. Picked to finish 4th in the conference and ended up wining the PAC12, PAC12 Tourney, received a #1 seed, and made it to the Elite 8. Looking forward to next season.
