The fires continue to expand. The giant forrest Fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains is now heading south towards the city of Santa Cruz. 25% of our county has now been evacuated from their homes. There are
more lightening storms predicted tonight and through Tuesday. I am going to start packing some clothes and food in order to make an emergency escape. I still think that I won’t need to use it. I also think that escape will be difficult. I guess that I’ll head South and just keep going on 1 until I can hook up with 101.... but for now, with the Coronavirus, I still feel that I am safer at home... it really depends on the coming lightening storms, the wind and the fog.
I love my home and I love my area. I have been blessed beyond measure to have lived in this area. We are not prone to fires.

I guess that nothing in life is for certain. I just attended my church’s online service. It was announced that half of our church members have been displaced from their homes. People are dropping everything to go help those people.

Our people are resilient. We will make a comeback. We will help our neighbors. We will never give up. I can promise you that.
We love our homes and love our community.
