Strong second halves
With us coming out hot in the second half, practice. Coach Cristobal, Coach Mirabal, all the coaches on staff they preach; we come out, we play physical, we do everything we do in a game in practice.
Everybody we play, they have a great team, a great program. Everybody works hard out there. It’s the drive to be great and finish as a team. Coach Moorhead says we are battling against our culture every day.
Being a starter
It is a great opportunity. Everybody always has to wait for an opportunity. Just the opportunity hey are giving me, I want to take advantage of it. It’s crazy running out there with the first offense, even without fans, just having those first snap jitters, the chills, it’s an amazing feeling being able to start these last two games.
Everybody stepped up, even the second offensive line. Everybody works hard, everybody wants to be great.
Upcoming game
UCLA is a great program. They had a great game against Cal Berkeley. They are going to come out and they are going to play hard. They have a great defensive line, they have a great coaching staff, they fly to the ball.
Why has the OL been good with all new starters?
Just going out there and knowing the guy to my right, the guy to my left, trusting 100% that they are going to get that job done. Every day going out there on walk through days, fast Fridays, always trying to take a step forward.
Hats off to Coach Mirabal, he pushes us so hard. He wants us to be great.
