What a game, much closer than most people thought. UCLA most certainly covered the spread.

But there were some great performances by some Ducks.

1. Devon Williams - Six catches, 123 yards and a touchdown. He was huge. Coach Cristobal said after the game that everybody on the team knew Williams was due for a big game the way he has been practicing the last two weeks.

2. Jordan Happle - That Pick Six of his to end the first half was the difference in the game. He was also the leading tackler for the Ducks.

3. UCLA - I'm sorry but they probably deserved to win. They did not have as much talent on the field due to the 10 covid tracing guys, yet gave the Ducks all they could handle and more.

4. Joe Moorhead - I continue to be impressed with this guy's work. The OL did not play well but he still found a way to get the ball down the field. The passing game was good because the Ducks made the adjustment to go to the air as UCLA was stacking the box and sending a lot of guys.

5. Hunter Kampmoyer - Five catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. What a great coming out party for his first action of the season.

6. Verone McKinley III - He could easily be one of the top couple MVP's actually. That heady fumble recovery he ran back was super smart football. Oh, and the INT.

7. Isaac Slade Matautia - Ten tackles and a pass breakup. He did not play too well last week and made up for it tonight.
